On the 15th of February 2009, my friends and I planned a gathering to meet up for old times sake. We wanted to do it on the week before but since there were some people unavailable on that day, we decided to postpone it.
Well, let me introduce u guys to the pretty girls who were present on that day.
Felicia the "auntie"
- you'll find out why later
Cheng Mei the "ying" - this is what happens when you're so
reluctant to take pictures. Candid shot by me
Shing Yi the "mad scientist"
- cos of her hair. hehehe
Phei Yin - the "unchanged"
- she hasn't changed a bit since high school
Hwei Fern the "greedy"
- see, I can't even put down the cup to take a pictureOf all places to meet, we finally decided on a venue: Times Square (the same old place again) as it was the most convenient place to be since it had everything in it. For instance: A theme park, a karaoke lounge, a cinema, a game arcade and of course plenty of shops.
I met up with them at 11 something in the morning due to someones time mis-management. Hehe. But it's okay, I was quite busy shopping for a cake to surprise Felicia later in the day. I went to several shops which I assume had cakes but in the end I only found 3 shops in the WHOLE shopping centre which sells this dessert.
Okay, continuing with the whole gathering process thing, we met up at Watsons and proceeded
to Sushi King for a bite cos everyone was hungry. We had sushi and some other Japanese dishes like fried squid. Shinq Yi also bought the Japanese Sorbet to try and it became Felicia's unofficial birthday cake. We took pictures like crazy there until people started staring at us with a mean glare. Haha... This is what normally happens when you put a group of girls together: we camwhore NOISILY. :-P

Decent picture of us (Finally) after taking loads
of pictures and making a racketOur initial plan was to go for karaoke. So we proceed to call Red box to book a room. However, they were charging some ridiculous amount for a session of karaoke, so we decided to check Neway out.
Unfortunately, Cheng Mei decided to stop by a crystal shop to re-string her crystals as they have became lose. This was a very big mistake as Felicia, our auntie, spent more than an hour in the shop asking bout various types of crystals and ended up buying some of them. Tsk tsk...
So in the end we couldn't sing k cos it wasn't worth it anymore. Therefore, we proceeded to the arcade for some gaming. And guess who we met? Another old school mate. I'm not so close with her though, but the others seem very excited to meet her.
All of us with the unexpectedSince she was out dating, we didn't want to be "spot lights" dancing around the happy couple. So we just did our own thing while she did hers.
Cheng Mei and Phei Yin was very enthusiastic bout playing shooting games which is not my thing. I can't really shoot anything. Give me a gun and I think I'll shoot all the good guys instead of the bad guys. Haha, and I'll end up dead anyway and even worse, I'll end up in hell for killing innocent people.
So I played the more "kiddy" games like daytona and the Japanese drum game. Since we all had our driving licence except for Felicia, we unintentionally bullied her in the racing game and she ended up last. Well, it's really out of our control. But she seemed to have lots of fun playing the game though. I'm so glad she has some freedom now.
After a fun round at the arcade, we didn't have anything to do. So we just walked around and did some window shopping before an idea came into mind.... Fish spa anyone? Since we had so much time on our hands, we spend about half an hour walking from the top to the bottom to the left and to the right of the entire times square to seek for a suitable "spa" which charges a reasonable price. But we couldn't find one. So, in the end, only Feli did the fish spa and also some other foot treatment.
Her birthday present from Cheng Mei and Phei Yin
She was very reluctant to put her feet in the water.
Something to do with the fish spreading AIDSHalfway though Feli's treatment, Shinq Yi, Cheng Mei and me went to get her birthday cake from Bread History and sent the cake to Uncle Duck's restaurant as we planned to have dinner there later.
So, as I mentioned above, we went to Uncle Duck next. Despite it's name, the shop does not only sell Duck, it also specializes in a wide variety of steam boats. I choose the seafood set with Hong Kong satay soup. Who would every think satay could become soup? I've heard of so many types of "satay" now. The conventional satay is meat on skewers right? But ever since I came to Sydney, there's satay sauce FRIED RICE, satay sauce NOODLES and now satay SOUP? Gosh... I suddenly think that there's a whole new meaning to the word "satay".
Uncle duck's seafood set and MeAfter a filling and satisfying dinner... We decided to surprise Feli by asking the wait staff to bring out the cake. Although we were stuffed, we still had room for cake. But we didn't finish the whole thing of course.
Look how surprised she is!
Group pic againHappy belated 21st birthday Felicia! Hope you have many more happy years to come!!!
