This post is dedicated to 3 of my good friends: Mei fern, Ming Shiuan and Shin Hoon.

This time I finally got to go to Bukit Mertajam (BM) after hearing so many stories about the place in INTEC from 3 of my housemates at that time. I used to hear about "charcoal fried kuey tiow" all the time. And about what other delicious penang food that usually mention during our times in 9505.

Besides that, I was very curious about the place. I've never been to BM before and I really did want to know how special it was since they mentioned it so much.

So, this trip back to my mom's hometown, I finally got to reward my curiosity. Too bad Shin Hoon wasn't back, if not, we could have made a 9505 reunion. :-P

BM is a very small town. I can't imagine myself living in such a place cos I'm from a big city. No offence to those living in rural areas. Living in KL has it's downsides too: Polution, Traffic Jam, etc... However, I did enjoy the day.

They both brought me to eat many many things in BM including the famous fried kuey tiow I mentioned earlier (I'll blog about Penang's food later on). Mei Fern also brought me to visit Penang's one and only Jaya Jusco. I still feel it's very big for a Jaya Jusco leh! How come you both keep insisting that it's small?!! (specifically to Mei fern and Ming Shiuan).

They even brought me to visit their friend, Hui Fern @ Joanne (How coincidental is that? Someone with the same name) to visit her new shih-tzu puppy. It's actual name is Patches but it's nickname is Shiuan, after Ming Shiuan. Hehe.
