Last Wednesday, Siew Ping, my friend from Sibu who's studying in Christchurch came back from New Zealand! She decided to crash at my place for a few days so that she can go on a shopping spree in KL. Haha, she's really geng cos can directly go shopping after she touched down in Malaysia.
Siew Ping... Sorry la, this is the most decent picture of you.
Although look quite chuen. :-P
The first thing we did when she reached KL was eat roti canai for breakfast!!! Haha, seems that she really misses Malaysian food after going away for so long. Then we headed to Mid valley. Reached there way earlier than we planned to. So, all shops were closed. Then the challenge begins! We went from one shop to another continuously... I really respect her cos she can really shop! After two hours of shopping, my stomach was growling and my feet were aching, my back was about to break too! So we went to the food court to get some lunch.

For those who don't know: MidValley!!!

Had our lunch at Mid Valley's food court. It was super expensive. My "lam mee" was RM 6.80 excluding the ridiculous tax... And on top of that, the shop was so unhygienic!!! Imagine this, I was about to pay for my food and I accidentally dropped a 50 cent coin into a small saucer of sambal (you know la, the type that we always put chili padi and kicap inside one...). Well, the first thought that crossed my mind was that she would throw it away, and I was actually feeling quite sorry to cause a few cents worth of waste for her. But then I saw it!!! The kakak then just took the coin out, wiped the saucer clean and put it back on the tray so that other customers will take it!!! I was too scared to confront her... So my mistake. Sorry if anyone got food poisoning that day from my doing. :-( It's not totally my fault!
Ok, enough of that. We continued our shopping spree up till 3.30 p.m and headed back home after that. The surprising thing about Siew Ping is that she has turned on a new leaf! She actually could finish up all her food now... Very proud of you girl!
The next day, we went to Low Yat together. And ended up shopping for the whole day as well. We surveyed each and every shop to find for the best deals and kept on bargaining to push the price down. Well, we did get a few good prices. And we did broke some of the shop keepers heart by walking away too. Haha, we can actually see that their face dropped for a second after we say "we'll come back later". After much debate in my mind, I finally decided to purchase a new web cam. And it cost me a freaking RM 169 ringgit AFTER bargaining my "feet" off (cos I had to walk up and down to bargain ma.. hahaha).
My new webbie (brand = creative)
The final day of shopping was in Times Square. Here, we resume our clothes and shoe shopping. I spent so much that day due to my good friend's influence. Cannot take it to see someone buying so much. Haha, but of course I was still money conscious as always. However, I still managed to grab 2 blouses for RM 20, a big hand bag for RM 26.40 and a pair of cute boots for RM59. Yeah, a little pricey for the boots but it's still tonnes cheaper than in Australia. Plus, the boots are really cute cos you can change it's length!!! So I'm happy.
It's nice isn't it? The bag has little stars stamped all over it.
Too bad it doesn't show here.
My boots at above ankle length (short version)
The left side is the full length (below my knee) and the right one is the shorter length. I know my knee looks bruised (it's not), just ignore it. Don't my feel look like bear feet now? Haha, I really feel it looks absolutely cute like a teddy bear. It's really soft too.
My lunch during our last day out. Ramen and fried pork on skewers with a yin-yang drink.
The skewers were to die for but the ramen was to die FROM. If you get what I mean.
Well, that wraps up my post for this time!
