Well, I've been blogging about special events and holidays and did not update about how I've been and what activities have I been doing in this hot Summer season in Sydney.
Many of you may or may not know that I've chosen to stay back in Sydney and bear the sight of everyone going back to their homeland one by one. It's a sad and heart wrenching feeling with a mix of jealousy because I am not able to travel home this time...
The reason why I'm staying back is because I am currently doing a summer course in Business Taxation, one of the hardest legal subject in my commerce degree. No, I did not fail the subject before but JPA still allow me to do it because I enrolled into a "wrong" subject in the second semester of my first year. It's a long story so to cut it short, here I am now, doing one extra subject in the Summer in order to avoid overloading next semester.
It seems really easy right? Being able to concentrate on only one subject for the entire study period. WRONG! Because the length of the course is shorter during the summer, we have to study the equivalent of 2 weeks course in just 1 week. Sigh... Imagine reading 2 weeks worth of legislation, cases and text in just 1 week. I've been struggling and the dream of working more this Summer just disappeared into thin air when I received the course outline on my first class. So, I'm still study at Easyway, getting minimal wages even on public holidays. :(
Looking on the bright side, I'm planning to go home in my Winter break next year or have my parents and dearest bf in Australia during that time. We're still contemplating, but a plan will eventuate. I am so looking forward to a holiday right now cos I've only got a 1 week break before starting my course this Summer.
Ok, enough about that. Other updates? I've finally decided to sign up for gym and I took the 3 months package. Hopefully I can loose some weight but after exercising for nearly a week now, the scale only shows the weight going up! :P Oh well, I'll just continue cos I've paid for it anyway.
The School of Accounting sent me a letter today, saying I'm eligible to be a PASS leader next semester for first year accounting subjects. (PASS stands for Peer Assistance Support Scheme. It is a scheme where second or third year students, who have done well in a subject, help groups of new students to gain a greater understanding of their subject and adjust to the learning methods which are successful at university. - adapted from UNSW's website) However I still have to submit my CV and academic transcripts before the 23rd of January and also go through interviews before I get a position. Hmmm.. I wonder if I'm cut out to teach? I'll give it a shot even though I'm highly skeptical that I can teach someone - due to lack of patience and methodology in teaching.
I guess that's about it... And for those of you who miss me a lot, I'll post up a recent picture of me for you to feast your eyes on. Hehehe.
This is how I look like with my new short hairstyle
But I'm having a bad hair day cos I tied it up the whole day
Till next time readers, Bye!!!
(I even took the initiative to change into a new shirt :P
Oh well, I know my posing sucks, but I don't care!)
