Another day another celebration. This time it's with Han Chow, Ming Shiuan, Sheng Yu and Zhi Bin. And it's also a combined celebration for Zhi Bin and Me cos our birthdays falls in the month of November.
The guys - Han Chow, Zhi Bin and Sheng Yu
The girls - Hwei Fern and Ming Shiuan
The plan was to go Sing K at Greenbox (again) to celebrate our birthday. If you guys noticed, the only activity I have been doing to celebrate my bdays for the whole time that I'm in Sydney is to go to Greenbox for K. Even last year! LOL!
However, we reached a tad bit early cos the place only opens at 12 pm and we arrived in the city at 11 am. So we decided to have lunch first as everyone was starving, well everyone except for Han Chow cos he just ate his breakfast (at 11 am!).
We couldn't conclude on where to dine in so we just head to Chinatown because there are many restaurants there. We chose some Taiwanese place which is really near to the entrance and which name I can't recall. One word sums the food and service up - IT SUCKS! Waitresses were rude and snappy. They even ignored us when we raised our hands to call them to our table when we could clearly see that they saw us. I was considering to leave the place but the others seemed to give the place a second chance, hoping the food might do the bad service justice I guess?
Too bad the food was just as lousy as the smug looks on the ugly waitresses. They never even bothered explaining the dishes properly and Zhi Bin ended up only having soup for his lunch because rice was actually not included for the "chef's special". I highly condemn the place and I will never step foot into the place again. I think there's something wrong with the restaurants in Chinatown. I went to the East Ocean Restaurant which is supposed to be a "high class" place once and I will never go back there again due to bad service as well!
My beef rice with seaweed (which I didn't eat) and some yucky and sour pickled veges.
The food was served cold! Just a little warmer than room temperature.
ALL of us were very disappointed with our orders. Everyone had to force themselves to shove the food down their throat due to its disgusting-ness. Ok enough of ranting.
After our lunch we headed to Greenbox. Took the 2 hour deal with one free drink and it costs us $12 per person because it's a Saturday.

The birthday cake - tiramisu
Cake cutting session
I have no idea how to upload videos with this "new" blogger's post-composing thingy. So I can't show you guys the candle blowing and song singing video just yet. I'll try to find a way to upload it later :P
After the singing session, Han Chow decided to go to QVB because he had to get a bag for his sister from Countryroad. But he didn't get it in the end cos he felt all of it was not-up-to-standard.
So after all that walking Ming Shuian suggested we go catch a movie because we've never watched a movie together before! So off we went to Event Cinemas at George Street and I was quite glad that I brought my Cinebuzz card to collect points. Hehehe.. 40 extra points for me!
We chose 2012 since Zhi Bin didn't want anything gory and there was nothing else to watch which seemed interesting. It was also the earliest movie available given that we reached the cinema at 3.30 pm. The movie was scheduled at 4.30pm so we had an hour to kill.
Where to you ask? We actually went to the timezone in the cinema! Played quite a few games and took some pictures as well - with the picture machine booth thingy.
The guys playing Han Chow's favourite game of all
Playing Time Crisis 3
We played almost every game in the arcade because the arcade was very small.. We even played deal or no deal. Ended up we collected enough points to redeem UNO cards.
When it was 4.30 pm we entered the cinema and sat there for 2 hours plus and enjoyed the movie. Movie was good. Had a lot of serious and comical parts to it which balances the entire plot quite well. I like it but it's a bit cliche because it's very similar to the day after tomorrow. Oh well, what can you expect because both movies are directed by the same person. I felt a bit sleepy though in the cinema because of lack of sleep for the past few days, not because the movie was boring.
After the movie we all decided to head back home. Quite a fun day out after all the exams and stress during the second semester. I'm glad we managed to squeeze a day to go out together before everyone flies back home. Thanks guys for having the celebration and gathering! Really appreciate it
