I know it's a very very very very very looooooooooonnnnggggggggg overdue post... But wth, better late then never right?

Miss Yilyn's 21st birthday falls on the 31st of May. I remember last year when I celebrated her birthday with her. Still fresh in memory.. Can't believe one year has passed so fast. Besides celebrating the princess' b'day, we also combined Theressa's birthday celebration on that day.

This year's celebration was different from last year's because instead of the old usual lets-do-it-at-someone's-house routine that we always do, we decided to go to a restaurant to celebrate for the first time. Hehe... *All of us must have been feeling generous at that time*

There were few restaurants suggested and mine got the top vote for some reason. Hehehe.. Must be good taste? *ahem* Just kidding la...

The restaurant name was Thai pothong.. I just pulled it's name out from a website as it was highly recommended by the person and I also visited their webbie and it seemed like a decent place. The best thing was, WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED!

We all planned to meet up at 7.30 pm on that day if I'm not mistaken. And when I reached, (with Zhi Bin as we came together) 4 people had already arrived (including one of the VIPs, Theressa). That was really good as it would be really awkward to sit there and wait for the whole bunch of people to arrive without ordering anything.

So we chatted for a while and waited for a while and finally the other VIP arrives.. The funny thing is that the host, Einly arrived the latest! Haha..

We contemplated what to order and finally settled on the "Chiang Mai" banquet. Really worth the money as the taste was exquisite and the decor was breathtaking. The staff was great too! Get a tissue or bowl ready cos the pictures are about to make your mouth water. :P

A funny thing happened during the serving of the entree. The waitress kept on telling everyone which sauce is for which thing (as you can see, there are 3 sauces for 3 Entrees). After painstakingly telling each and everyone of us the same lines over and over again, she left. And after she leaves us to the food, none of us remembered which sauce was for which. And the lines went something like this.

Person A: "What sauce for which one ah???"

Person B: "I donno wor... Which sauce d ah?"

Person C: "Donno la, just eat la!"

Everyone: LOL

Right before the food was served, the VIPs were presented with their presents. We got Yilyn a big key to symbolize her freedom... Too bad we couldn't get her the traditional key pendant and necklace. (That one let her parents give lar hor? :)) Theresa on the other hand, received a big card. Well, the key we gave Yilyn was also a card actually. Hehehe.

Finishing the food was a great feat because the portion was a lot... On top of that, we still had dessert and the birthday cake!

To end the day the 2 girls had a special gift from the restaurant which was a gift voucher to buy stuff from the gift shop in the restaurant worth $31. Each got something they like... Told you the restaurant was great!
